10.00

This elegant glass paperweight features "Penn's Treaty with the Indians" by Artist Edwin Austin Abbey from the House Chamber.  This 3 3/4" round paperweight is packaged in a gift box with the following inscription on the back of the box:

The mural Penn’s Treaty with the Indians was painted by artist Edwin Austin Abbey. It measures 24 x 12 and occupies the left-most portion of the front of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. The mural is based upon William Penn’s 1682 Treaty with the Lenni Lenape (Delaware) Indians at Shackamaxon under an ancient elm tree. The mural was largely complete by the time of Abbey’s death on August 1, 1911, however several minor improvements were finished by W.G. Simmonds, (Abbey’s assistant), before the painting was installed in late 1911.
