Governor's Reception Room Light Standard Ornament (2008)

15.95

The Pennsylvania Capitol Preservation Committee proudly presents the tenth edition in its series of commemorative ornaments. This unique ornament is a miniature replica of the Governor's Reception Room Light Standard, designed by Joseph M. Huston, the Capitol's architect.

The cherub light standards are made of solid bronze, which was then gilded. They were cast by the Henry-Bonnard Bronze Company of New York, under the supervision of bronze master Eugene F. Aucaigne in 1906. These magnificent ornate light standards were installed in time for the Capitol's dedication on October 4, 1906.

Each miniature Light Standard is made of brass with 24k gold finish and is accented with white and gold screenprint. This one-of-a-kind collectable is elegantly packaged in a gold-embossed gift box accompanied by an informational brochure. Measures 1 3/8" x 4 3/8". Date inscribed - 2008.
